About Dr. Dreyer


Dr. Carla Dreyer earned her bachelor’s degree from Albion College in Albion, Michigan, in 1997. She subsequently obtained her master’s degree (1999) and doctorate (2002) from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dr. Dreyer began working as a psychology assistant at a state-certified forensic center, Court Clinic Forensic Services (then known as the Community Diagnostic and Treatment Center), in 1998, when she was a graduate student. After obtaining her doctorate, she completed her post-doctoral training at Court Clinic Forensic Services before obtaining her license as a psychologist in Ohio in 2003. She remained at the Court Clinic through mid-September 2019, serving as the Clinical Director for approximately 5 years.

In addition to her work at Court Clinic, Dr. Dreyer has maintained a private practice through which she conducts a variety of evaluations with both juveniles and adults. In addition to evaluations for which she is privately retained, Dr. Dreyer has performed contract work for the Hamilton County Juvenile Court, Forensic Psychiatry Center for Western Ohio (Dayton, Ohio), and Forensic Evaluation Services Center (Hamilton, Ohio).

Dr. Dreyer has extensive training and education in clinical and forensic psychology, with professional interests that include clinical and forensic assessments, education/training, and consultation.
